Women’s Month

During recent public hearings and interviews, Rep. Bong Suntay made remarks that framed women as objects of “imagination”. Such statements are not harmless words, they have real-world consequences. They normalize the objectification of women and contribute to the harassment, discrimination, and abuse that women continue to face in workplaces, public spaces, and communities every day.

We call for accountability and demand a public apology from Rep. Suntay. We also urge all public officials to recognize the weight of their words and uphold respect, integrity, and equality in both speech and action. Public officials carry the responsibility to protect, not diminish, the dignity of women.

This Women’s Month, we choose dignity. Always.
